Dear visitor,

Welcome to the pavilion of the State of Kuwait.

The participation of the State of Kuwait at the Expo Zaragoza 2008 "Water and Sustainable Development" is a privilege and a great opportunity. We would like to thank the Kingdom of Spain and His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait who accepted with honour the invitation from the King of Spain, Juan Carlos to participate in the Expo Zaragoza 2008. This participation reflects the belief of my country's authorities in the development of its water resources.

Kuwait pavilion welcomes all its visitors to share our experience in its efforts towards the sustainable development of its water resources. The pavilion represents the various institutes- Ministry of Energy, Electricity and Water, Kuwait Institute for the Advancement of Science, Environment Public Authority, Ministry of Public Works, and Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources who participate in providing the country with the necessary water resources. Moreover, we thank the various Spanish media and news agencies who visited Kuwait and have documented the country's progress.

We also invite you to join us in the different activities during the National Day of Kuwait on the 29th of July, where there will be water related seminars and special performances by the famous Kuwait TV folklore band, which will also be broadcasted on the Kuwait Pavilion website.

We wish the EXPO all success, and you an interesting journey in our pavilion and hope you enjoy all that we have to offer.

Dear guest,

Welcome to the pavilion of the State of Kuwait at the Expo Zaragoza 2008.

The participation of my country at the Expo is to showcase Kuwait's efforts in the sustainable development of water resources, since Kuwait is the only country in the world that lacks sufficient natural sources of water. During your visit to our pavilion you will find a display model of the sea water desalination which explains the functioning of the plant. I hope this will assist you in realizing the process that helps provide the whole of the country with water.

Through the division of the pavilion into three sections- the sea, the desert and the city- we have tried to exhibit the three different transitions of life as we know it in present day Kuwait. The inclusion of the historical element has assisted in structuring our pavilion to exude the personality of Kuwait and its people. Therefore, in addition to the story of the struggle of the Kuwaitis in making this dry and arid land habitable.

Dear guest, we hope that at the diwaniya that you will learn more about the social traditions of the people of Kuwait. Moreover, we are sure your young ones will find that my country has a special interest in the education of children at the kids' corner; while you enjoy a 3D ride which tells the story of progress and development of my country.

Dear guest, we hope that you will identify and share with us the hopeful message of my country- Through skill and hard work we can overcome the crisis of water shortage.
